W ogrodach na dachu Galerii Północnej rozbrzmiewać będą skrzypce, harfa i handpany
Galeria Północna is organizing a series of summer outdoor concerts in its rooftop gardens. Attendees will be able to enjoy classical and film music, musical hits, and even handpan performances.
This summer, Galeria Północna will be filled with music. In July and August, a series of free outdoor concerts are planned to enliven the summer evenings. The first event will take place this coming Saturday, July 13, at 6:00 PM.
On that day, amidst the greenery of the rooftop gardens, attendees will be able to listen to an intimate concert by harpist Magdalena Miłaszewska-Delimat and violinist Justyna Ryfczyńska. The duo will perform a repertoire that combines film motifs with the greatest musical hits.
During the concert, we will hear themes from films such as “Braveheart,” “Star Wars,” and “Amelie,” as well as many well-known songs, including “Beauty and the Beast,” “A Whole New World,” and “Memory” from the musical “Cats,” announces Galeria Północna.
And this is just the beginning of the musical summer at Północna. On July 27, the Handscape duo, consisting of Kuba Makowczyński and Vova Makovskyi, will perform in the gardens. The meeting with the artists will be an opportunity to listen to the sounds of the handpan, an instrument made from two metal hemispheres.
The concert itself will combine music with meditation. Among the inspirations for the original pieces that Handscape performs are ethnic, relaxing, and ambient music. The concert will start at 6:00 PM. Admission is free.
The musical summer will conclude with a concert by the String Trio, consisting of Alicja Jara, Zuzanna Konstantynowicz, and Piotr Dębowski, which will take place in the gardens on August 10. On that day, we will hear famous film music hits from movies and animations such as “Hercules,” “Frozen,” “Reksio,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Koziołek Matołek.” The concert will start at 6:00 PM. Admission is free.
– Music in the garden is a great attraction for lovers of intimate concerts, as well as soundtracks and well-known hits in interesting arrangements, such as for the harp. The event is also an opportunity to listen to performances on unique instruments like the handpan, – says Barbara Andrzejewska, marketing manager of Galeria Północna.
– Above all, however, it is a proposition for those who are looking for relaxation after a week and want to combine relaxation in the greenery of Północna’s gardens with music and meeting friends. Especially since the gallery has prepared another attraction for music enthusiasts. In July and August, every Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM, a DJ will be playing in the rooftop gardens near the Grill&Beer restaurant, – she adds.
